Possibly the most mis-managed and confusing part of our entire 10-day stay. This was beyond ridiculous and a waste of our time and energy. I am 75-years old and was exhausted and frustrated beyond words at this convoluted and terrible experience. After circling the massive Opera building no less than 3 times trying to find the ticket exchange point we headed to another Big Bus Ticket kiosk who directed us down to 11 rue de l’Opera only to discover it was almost 1/2 mile away.

We were told twice the Big Bus Shop was right out in front of the Opera. The two Big Bus kiosks we went to gave us differing and wrong information, one saying we needed to have a “bus driver” give us Opera tickets, which was a total mis-direction. Absolutely no one at the Opera understood what we needed to do and sent us in the wrong direction multiple times. We spent more than an hour trying to figure out how to exchange the bar code ticket for regular tickets.

This Skip the Line opera Garnier Paris self-guided tour was the most frustrating, disappointing experience of this Paris trip to celebrate my granddaughter’s 16th b’day. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars with Viator for tours from private Versailles to semi-private Louvre and Musee d’Orsay among others.
